Rev. Fr. Peter Akomanyi Tawiah is a priest of the Catholic Diocese of Damongo, Savannah Region, Ghana, West Africa. I was ordained a priest on 11th June 2022 at St.
Anne’s Cathedral, Damongo, by Most Rev. Peter Paul Y.
Angkyier, Catholic Bishop of Damongo. My first assignment as a priest was Parochial Vicar at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Lingbinsi-Daboya.

The second appointment is at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Parish, Canteen – Damongo. I’m also appointed as Chaplain of St. Anne’s Catholic Hospital, Damongo.

Fr. Tawiah reaches out not only to Catholics within the Diocese but also to a global audience.

He shares daily and Sunday reflections, leads the faithful in praying the Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and offers spiritual guidance through his online ministry.

Secondly, much of my ministry is spent in serving, most especially in the deep rural stations of the parish, the poor and vulnerable, promoting devotion to praying the Holy Rosary, Youth Chaplaincy, and those interested in becoming Catholic through the sacrament of Christian Initiation.

My zeal for such an area of primary evangelization is to ensure the spreading of the Word of God to a people who are still largely not Christianized. Thus, I consider the work of evangelization and the promotion of human development as my main call to mission in this part of the country (Canteen-Damongo, Ghana).
