Acts 15 : 22 – 31 / Ps. 56 : 8 – 12 / Jn. 15 : 12 – 17

Jesus in the gospel repeats his command of loving one another as he has loved. He says, “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you”.

It is by striving to love one another in the same selfless and generous way that we remain in his love. He has done his part, but if this love relationship is to happen, we need to do our part.

Dear friends, Love is the only language that everyone understands no matter where you come from or live. Jesus refers to this love as the love of friendship. As in all true friendships, he has opened his heart to us. He has revealed to us what is at the core of his being.

So, when we show love, we touch people positively. We impact their lives by our kind deeds, we help them to stay alive. Nothing last – all that matters is loving one another; it is the path that leads to true happiness.

So, we remain in the love of Jesus by sharing the love we have received from him with others, let’s note this “everyone deserves love”.

The truth is, Christ’s love is so deep that we cannot go under it; it is so wide that we cannot go around it; and it is so high that we cannot go over it.

May the Lord be with us all and may He continue to guide and strengthen us all in our journey of faith.

Prayer: Grant, O my Saviour, that I may follow your maxims, practice your virtues and form myself upon your example, that I may be worthy of your love and share it with others as I ought too.
