HE WHO GIVES TO THE POOR WILL LACK NOTHING… PROVERBS 28:27
I am very happy that I can now report to all friends and Catholic faithful of an assistance to renew and register some parishioners to the national health insurance scheme. With a heart full of gratitude and appreciation to you my dear friend for your show of love. I sincerely thank you for your prayers and constant support. I wish to say, may God give you every possible reason to smile and be happy always. As part of one of my regular visits to church members in the parish here to interact and to know about the welfare of parishioners; I entered the house of the president of the Catholic Christian Mother’s Association only to find her lying on her sick bed with Typhoid and Malaria. So, I advise her to go seek for better healthcare at the village Clinic, which she replied, “Father, my national health insurance is expired and I haven’t been able to renew it”. I just couldn’t help out much, but only I prayed for her. So, I shared her story with a brother and friend who offered to renew and register health insurance for about twenty (20) of the women.
The NHIS benefit package is a very generous package that includes outpatient and impatient services, essential drugs, inpatient accommodation and maternity care including caesarean delivery, dental care, eye care and emergency care among others. However, the NHIS is faced with major obstacles that challenge its success. One such obstacle that threatens the operations is low active membership.
As part of the mission of the parish, we continue to seek for help for the faithful in this very deprived community to better their future (Good healthcare) and give them options for livelihood. Access to such quality healthcare schemes certainly provides the key for development and a vibrant church and it will positively impact on their chances of a better future. Nevertheless, there are many of the parishioners who aren’t privileged to have the National Health Insurance and one of the reasons for which renewing or registering for the National Health Insurance is a challenge is simply because of low household income as against household expenditure.
So this donor has indeed helped this faithful of the parish tremendously and I wish on behalf of the beneficiaries lift my voice to sing and thank you(our generous donor). I say may God show you mercy and show you himself in this life and beyond. We will forever be grateful to you God.
May your Patron Saint, Padre Pio and Our Lady of Perpetual Help intercede for you now and forever more…
